Abstract

The creative economy is a sector that plays a vital role in generating community income by leveraging local potential and traditional crafts, as well as strengthening regional cultural identity through ideas, creativity, and innovation rooted in local wisdom. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of the creative economy in increasing community income in Padasuka Village, Lunyuk Sub-District. The study employs a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. The data used are qualitative, obtained directly from primary sources. The data sources include creative economy participants, the village administration, and the community of Padasuka Village. Data collection was conducted through structured interviews. Data analysis followed the qualitative analysis methods developed by Miles and Huberman, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the creative economy plays an important role in increasing economic activities and community income. The role of the creative economy in improving community income can be seen through the existence of various business activities that utilize the potential of local resources, such as handicrafts, culinary businesses, architecture, and various service activities. Through these creative economic activities, the community becomes more productive in utilizing their skills and available resources, thereby generating additional income for business actors and their families. The creative economy not only functions as an economic activity that generates profit but also serves as an instrument of community empowerment by providing opportunities for people to develop their abilities, creativity, and innovation in business activities.
