ANALISIS DETERMINAN HASIL TANGKAPAN IKAN PADA NELAYAN DESA LABUHAN JAMBU KECAMATAN TARANO

The fisheries sector plays a crucial role in the economic development of the village, particularly Labuhan Jambu village Tarano Sub District. With the right development strategies and competent management, this sector can continue to make a positive contribution to community well-being and regional economic growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect fish catch production in Labuhan Jambu Village. This study employed an associative research design. The sample consisted of 83 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula and selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires. The data were processed using SPSS and analyzed through multiple linear regression analysis, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), simultaneous hypothesis testing (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (R²). Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the independent variables, which consist of labor (X1), fishing gear size (X2), fishermen’s experience (X3), soak time (X4), and distance to the fishing grounds (X5), have a positive and significant effect on fish catch production in Labuhan Jambu Village, both partially and simultaneously. Overall, the independent variables explain 58,8% of the variation in fish catch production in Labuhan Jambu Village, while the remaining 41,2% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as environmental, technical-operational, biological, and socio-economic factors.
