The background of this study is based on the 2024 Education Report, which indicated that students’ literacy skills were below the minimum competency, necessitating systematic intervention by the school. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted on the SLM program implementation, in-depth interviews were held with the principal, teachers, and several students, and documentation studies were conducted regarding school literacy policies. The research subjects included all school stakeholders involved in the implementation of SLM. The findings revealed that the SLM at SD Negeri Omal Sapa was effectively implemented through two main stages: the habituation stage and the development stage. The habituation stage focused on routine activities that foster reading habits, while the development stage emphasized improving literacy skills through more structured reading activities. The study concluded that consistent and structured implementation of SLM significantly enhances students’ reading interest, as evidenced by changes in attitudes and increased enthusiasm for literacy activities. To strengthen the program, it is recommended that the school provide a more diverse and relevant selection of reading materials to sustain and further improve students’ reading motivation.
Andy Saputra, R Ramlafatma Copyright (c) 2026 Andy Saputra, R Ramlafatma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.e-journallppmunsa.ac.id/index.php/samalewa/article/view/2241 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU DI TAMAN KANAK- KANAK NEGERI 1 SUMBAWA BESAR https://www.e-journallppmunsa.ac.id/index.php/samalewa/article/view/2267
This study aims to describe the implementation of teacher professional competency development at TK Negeri 1 Sumbawa Besar, explain the results and impacts, and identify obstacles and supporting factors in its implementation. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Informants were selected intentionally using a purposive sampling technique. Data trustworthiness was ensured through credibility, dependability, and confirmability checks, while data analysis was conducted using interactive analysis techniques proposed by Miles and Huberman. The implementation of these activities has a positive impact on improving teacher quality in the learning process, creating a more engaging and enjoyable learning environment, increasing student learning motivation, and improving teacher skills in implementing early childhood learning, designing learning assessments, managing interactive learning, understanding the curriculum, developing extracurricular activities, and integrating digitalization into learning. Barriers and supporting factors in improving teacher professional competence come from internal and external factors, including motivation, integrity, professional commitment, mastery of information technology, and teacher growth mindset.
M Maudara, Muhammad Ikhsan Copyright (c) 2026 M Maudara, Muhammad Ikhsan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.e-journallppmunsa.ac.id/index.php/samalewa/article/view/2267 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 INOVASI PENGELOLAAN PROGRAM LITERASI MELALUI KEMITRAAN PENDIDIKAN DI SD NEGERI SAGENA KECAMATAN POTO TANO https://www.e-journallppmunsa.ac.id/index.php/samalewa/article/view/2282
This study aims to describe and analyze the management of literacy programs through educational partnerships at SDN Sagena. The research focus includes school policies, program innovations, the roles of stakeholders, as well as the impacts and challenges in literacy implementation. The research methodology employs a Mixed Methods approach, consisting of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design and inferential analysis using the independent samples t-test to compare learning outcomes between the group receiving the literacy program treatment and the conventional learning group. For the qualitative component, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation studies. The results show that SDN Sagena has successfully integrated the literacy program into school policy through innovative programs named "SERASI" (Tuesday Wednesday Literacy) and "Literasi Bahari" (Maritime Literacy). This innovation utilizes the local context of the coastal community to increase the relevance of reading materials for students. The success of this program is supported by strategic partnerships with various external parties, such as the West Sumbawa Regency Education and Culture Office, JARI Foundation, Laskar Cinta Alam Community, and the Regional Library. The impact of this program is reflected in the increase in students' literacy scores, reaching an average of 81.20 in the experimental class compared to 75.54 in the regular class. Despite facing challenges such as limited human resources and coordination time, the school was able to overcome them through intensive parental involvement and home visit programs.
S Subki, Sri Rahayu Copyright (c) 2026 S Subki, Sri Rahayu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://www.e-journallppmunsa.ac.id/index.php/samalewa/article/view/2282 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700
